I love to go skiing at Pebble Creek Ski Area, which is only 15 minutes from our house. Jon has been good to me and gotten me a couple sets of skis so I can enjoy this sport. These pictures don't do justice to the view I see when I ski. And this was taken with my phone. I just love the fresh air, and the beautiful snow on the trees.

The puppies love the snow...till they get cold
The first big snow we had the puppies were our and running around in it! They love being outside...until they get cold that is. Their little puppy fur just isn't very thick. Plus they are both short hairs so two strikes right there. But it was fun for a little while!
I could just see him thinking, "I'm cold mom. Can we go in please?" |
It's looks like they are asking each other, "Are you cold?...Yeah...You?...Where's mom?...Darn her she's still taking pictures." |
I'm not very smart
When Jon was on the hunt for his German Shorthair, I decided to look for a dog for me. I have always thought Weimaraners, especially the blues (there are grey and blue) were beautiful so I was on the hunt. I found a blue female right close to where Jake was so the setup seemed perfect. We went to meet the female and she was off the wall. The breeder introduced us to this male and he was just so loving and sweet, so we took him. Ignorant as I was I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. 2 Puppies!! Not smart. It's been a lot of work and time, and cleaning messes, and more. They both are very sweet puppies and they will be great dogs. We named are sweet Weim Asher. Each dog on their own is so much easier. Asher is very attached and sits great with me in any room. And he really doesn't run off on his own. Jake is very mellow, which is awesome!
Asher just loves to be with people. Can ya tell? |
Just hanging out with dad. :) |
Our new German Shorthaired Puppy...Jake
When our dog Gunner died it was very devastating for Jon and our family. Immediately we were on the hunt for a new puppy. Jon found a litter that was not too far from us but I wasn't sure I was quite ready. Well, because I love surprises so much I decided to get a pup for Jon. I called the lady and paid for him and all in the mean while Jon also called the same lady but she told him it was sold. Once she made the connection she worked it and told him it was sold to a lady in Connecticut. I set up a time to go see him, making Jon think we were going to go see a puppy for me. I had to blow the surprise a little early due to certain things, but we went up to see Jake and Jon was in love. It was the best surprise!
Little kitty flashbacks
I had a bunch of pictures that I never posted along the way of our sweet kitties Socks and Lily but they're too cute to pass up.
When we first got the two kitties we kept them in our laundry room and they always snuggled together.
Andrew loved holding our kittens all the time. |
Lily was very curious about the dishwasher, as kitties are right? |
Our kitties were so fun to watch play. They loved playing with so many things. Even strings dangling from a curtain. |
Socks' first adventure in the snow was so fun to watch. He tiptoed around but at the same time felt right at home being outside. We kept the kitties indoors for their first few months. |
He had to shake off the snow every once in a while. |
I love how cats love to be in boxes. Even little ones. We just set this out and he found it! |
Our last to be baptized
It's hard to believe that our baby boy Andrew was baptized. I am so proud of him! He is such a fine young man and he is just growing up so quickly and doing so well in many aspects of life. He truly has a tender heart and yet an amazingly strong will. People say he looks just like Jon. He loves to be with his mom too, which is so sweet (most of the time). :)
