For a few weeks we have been working on getting our passports to be able to travel to Canada to visit my sick step-brother, David. We finally were able to get passports for me and the boys. Unfortunately we couldn't get Jon's lined up in time for spring break so me and the boys went. We missed Jon a lot but it worked out because he hurt his back and was laid up for a few days at home. He would have been miserable on such a long trip with a hurt back. Amazing how things work out sometimes. Our first stop was to go to Vancouver Island, which you have to ride a ferry for almost two hours to get to. The boys loved it! Andrew was terrified at first but quickly realized we were safe. He was worried at first about sinking and sharks (not sure where he got the shark idea at all! haha!) We first had a snack, sweet potato fries and gravy, Yum! Then we explored.

The side of the boat wasn't quite as windy as the front. At the front me and Helen could hardly see with our hair wiping around. |

The scenery was so beautiful. Seagulls flying low, and homes tucked in trees, and a light house. I loved the smell of the fresh sea air. |

Caleb really enjoyed the fresh air too. |
